Beard Tip: Where Your Beard Should End

Although you can get by with it if you only sport a bit of scruff on your face, a  true beard should never be trimmed too high, so that the lower line of it runs entirely right underneath your jaw.  Your beard should should be trimmed right under your jaw at both ends near your ears, but in between, it should curve lower under your chin about two inches or so above your Adam's apple.  As general guidance, when you shape your beard, remember that the part of your throat right under your chin that is roughly parallel to the floor should be whiskered, while the part of your throat that is more parallel to the wall ahold be shaved.  I see so many guys screw this up!
