Men, Get Your Beard On!
"No Shave November" is an annual event, with its roots in raising awareness of cancer patients who are undergoing treatment that causes hair loss. People are encouraged to quit shaving something they normally shave for at least a month to show their support. Truthfully, I don't really see a strong connection between not shaving and supporting cancer victims. Nonetheless, over time, the event has morphed into something much broader. For men, in particular, "No Shave November" is a time to celebrate and honor the hair that naturally grows on our faces and that testifies to our masculinity. If you don't already have a beard, start growing it today. If you have a very short beard, try growing it a bit longer. If you already sport a magnificent set of whiskers, then just let your manhood shine for the world to behold!
While "No Shave November" is focused on beards, it is also a great time to stop shaving or trimming body hair if that is something you presently do. Embrace being a man.
