Life As A Ginger
Less than two percent of the world's population has red hair, but red hair occurs with greater frequency among people with genetic roots in Europe, particularly northwestern Europe. So, redheaded people are most commonly found in Scotland, Ireland, England,Wales, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and, because of large-scale historical immigration from these countries, also in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. One may find redheads in other parts of Europe and the world, but to a far lesser extent. Most studies report that Scotland and Ireland have the highest percentage of gingers in their populations, 13 and 11 percent, respectively, with the United States having the highest actual number of gingers, on account of its huge population and so many Americans (such as myself) being of Scottish, Irish, and English descent. Red hair is a recessive gene. While neither parent has to have red hair to produce a redheaded child, both parents must at least carry the gene for red hair in their DNA. I have read that experts in the field of human DNA estimate that at least 50 percent of people with Scottish and Irish ancestry carry the red hair gene, and despite a prevalent urban myth that red hair is becoming extinct, we are not disappearing anytime soon.
Like many things that are comparatively unusual, while there are certainly many people who are indifferent on the desirability of red hair, people commonly have extreme reactions to ginger coloring, positive or negative. There are those who find us inherently unattractive, while others think we're hot as fuck. I prefer the latter opinion, of course, but I don't get upset by the former. Not everyone is my type, either, so I just take it all in stride. I myself have never suffered any significant rejection or abuse because of my coloring, so it's rather easy for me to laugh it off when I hear accounts of "ginger phobia." I really think being ginger in the United Kingdom-- particularly England, it appears, for some mysterious reason -- is more of a potential challenge for redheads than it is in others parts of the world. Like I said, perhaps I am not everyone's preferred sexual type, but no one here in U.S. gives me grief about being ginger. We're a part of the general population, and we're treated the same as everyone else.
However, there is no denying that, in the eyes of many, being a ginger is something that defines a person to them, be that in a good, bad, or indifferent way. I frequently comment to people I know, in amusing earnestness, that my red hair and my big dick serve as my two calling cards in life. I admit to being proud of my big dick, and I don't mind my red hair. Red hair runs in my family, and being ginger is just a part of who I am, like having the big dick. I inherited both my coloring and my generous endowment from my dad, and I think that's cool. Occasionally -- not too often, but sometimes -- in my sexual encounters, I think my playmates are perhaps "overlooking" my red hair because they like my dick, but I don't let that frustrate me. Guys I see seriously or regularly like me as a whole package, as I feel about them, so it's good.
Sometimes in the realm of sexual attraction, opposites attract. In that vein, I know some other ginger or blond guys who prefer men with darker coloring, including Hispanic or black men, just as some Hispanic and black men really get off on gingers and blonds. I have shared elsewhere on this blog that while my own sexual tastes are geared primarily to White and Hispanic/Latin types, coloring itself is not really much of an issue for me. I am attracted equally to brunette, blond, and other redheaded guys, fair to swarthy, as long as I find them sufficiently handsome & fit, adequately hung, and with their natural body hair left in tact. I frequently enjoy sex with other ginger guys, one on one, in three-ways, and larger groups. If I think they're hot, other ginger guys suit me just fine.
So, for the readers of my blog who fancy us gingers, thank you, and this collection of photos is dedicated to you. Even if you don't fancy gingers, either not particularly, or not at all, please know we are part of the human phenomenon. While no one is entitled to someone else's sexual desire, neither should anyone be treated discourteously because of the color of his hair.
